What Ontario auto insurance really costs in 2026

An interactive dashboard to explore real rate ranges by age, car, and city — built so you never overpay again.

When I first moved to Ontario, my car insurance quotes were all over the place. Same car, same driving history — but somehow the difference between one quote and another could be hundreds of dollars a year.

This dashboard is my way of making that mess transparent.

How to use this dashboard

  • Pick your city – Start with the closest match to where you actually live, not just where you work.
  • Adjust your age and driving history – The dials are there so you can see how much a ticket or accident really changes things.
  • Compare coverage levels – Minimum coverage looks cheap until something goes wrong. Slide the coverage higher and watch how little it actually changes your monthly payment.

A quick reality check

This is not a quote engine, and it's not tied to any one insurer. It's a way to get your bearings before you talk to a broker, so you can tell in 10 seconds whether a number feels fair or wild.
